About Chantelle Bernard
Founder of CBX KIDS
I’m Chantelle Bernard—a singer/songwriter, dancer, model, actor and proud mum of two girls, Eliana and Skylar. My journey in performing arts began early, starting with modelling at age 7 and discovering my passion for performing at 8. I trained at Superarts Academy in South London, developing strong foundations across street, acro, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, tap and ballet.
Over the years, I’ve appeared in TV commercials, magazines and music videos for artists including Oasis and Kylie Minogue, and performed on stages around the world. As a vocalist, I’ve had the privilege of singing backing vocals for Cher and Jahméne Douglas. At 21, I signed to Sony Records as a member of the group Six D, releasing our Top 40 debut single Best Damn Night. We toured the UK, Scotland and Wales, performing at schools, arenas and festivals such as T4 on the Beach, Leeds Party in the Park, and London’s O2 Arena, while delivering dance and singing workshops to young performers.
My career also took me to LA and Miami, working with world-renowned producers, choreographers and directors behind artists like Beyoncé, Usher, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. A highlight was working with acclaimed director Colin Tilley and appearing on choreographer Laurieann Gibson’s E! TV show The Dance Scene, experiences that deeply shaped my approach to performance, creativity and teaching.
After pausing my career to raise my daughters, I knew it was time to give back. With over three decades of experience, I wanted to create a space where children could gain the same confidence, joy and community that performing arts gave me. That vision became CBX KIDS—a safe, supportive and inspiring environment where young people can express themselves, build skills and grow through dance and music.
Founded in 2022, CBX KIDS quickly flourished, with students even performing at the Chingford Village Festival. Now, returning stronger than ever in 2026, we’re excited to welcome new and returning students to our vibrant performing arts community.
